The president of the southern province and secretary of state explains that Gil BRIAL has the necessary qualities for this position, if he is required to sit in her place.
She continues by explaining that after having participated in numerous committees of signatories, Gil Brial , who has accompanied her for more than five years during the negotiations on the future of New Caledonia, is therefore recognized in Paris as an interlocutor and a defender of the loyalist cause.

As a reminder. There is no accumulation possible. Sonia Backès will not be able to sit as senator as long as she is secretary of state.
